The Henry Royce Institute is a partner in round 12 of Innovate UK’s Analysis for Innovators (A4I) scheme. The Institute is open to collaborations with applicants working in advanced materials research and innovation on measurement and analysis challenges. Stage 1 of the funding call will close 03 January 2024.
Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, is investing up to £2.25 million in small collaborative innovation projects working with their Analysis for Innovators (A4I) partners. The aim of the scheme is to assist businesses in tackling their current challenges related to analysis and measurement. These issues are most effectively examined using the expertise of scientists and the state-of-the-art facilities accessible in the United Kingdom.
The pivotal factor contributing to the success of Analysis for Innovators lies in the Brokerage Meetings facilitated between participating companies and experts affiliated with the program. These sessions provide an opportunity for companies to engage in discussions with experts willing to collaborate on addressing their specific challenges.
The competition is divided into 2 stages: Stage 1 – Expression of Interest and Stage 2 Application for a funded project.
Project size:
If successful at stage 1, your stage 2 project’s total project costs must be between £15,000 and £100,000
Who can apply:
To enter this phase, your organization must be a registered business in the UK, regardless of its size. Each business, regardless of size, is limited to submitting only one application for this competition.
The financial support provided in this competition falls under the category of Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA). The sum of the grant funding obtained from the program, combined with the MFA funding received by your company in the current financial year and the two preceding years, must not surpass £315,000.
How to apply:
Your proposal should outline a measurement or analysis challenge for which you seek a resolution to enhance your business’s productivity or competitiveness. It is essential to include an estimation of the potential value to your business upon solving this problem.
