The Royal Society’s prestigious annual medals and awards programme is now open for nominations! This is the opportunity to celebrate the groundbreaking achievements of exceptional scientists and research teams.
Nominations close on Friday 21 February 2025 and winners will be announced in the summer of 2025.
The Society invites all scientists to nominate outstanding individuals and teams for these accolades, and to encourage others within the scientific community to do the same.
Royal Society medals and awards recognise those researchers who are making significant contributions to scientific progress in their fields.
Twenty-eight medals and awards are open for nominations in this annual cycle, celebrating excellence across the biological, physical and applied sciences.
Nominations are particularly welcome when they recognise the achievements of individuals and teams from groups that are under-represented in science. You do not need to be a Fellow of the Royal Society to be nominated for an award.
More information about medals and awards and the nominations process can be found on the Royal Society website. The specific eligibility criteria for each award can be found on the individual award pages.
