He will expand on how his multidisciplinary research background in chemistry and physics helped on his path to making a career around inspiring the next generation of materials scientists.

Royce is hosting a workshop aimed at Research Technical Professionals (RTPs), or researchers whose role involves RTP responsibilities, in which we will consider the various challenges in handling data in materials science, such as: i) specification of metadata; ii) methods of compression or down-sampling; iii) data storage and retention practices; iv) sharing and tools for access. The idea is to gather perspectives on the above aspects to instigate discussions around working methods and best practices.
