In this Intellegens webinar, we will share the results of a project that developed a framework allowing such methods to be combined, including case studies of the integration of Alchemite™ ML with CALPHAD to understand the behaviour of different phases in an alloy, and of molecular descriptors calculated from SMILES strings to study surfactants.

Royce Training: An Introduction to Energy Dispersive Spectrometry (EDS)

This course will provide an introduction to energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis for alloys at the Royce Hub Building in Manchester. The content will introduce the concepts for the generation of X-rays for alloy analysis and EDS techniques on bulk samples. Participants will cover experimental produres, quantification methods, sample preparation and analysis artefacts. The course aims to develop understanding and guidance for practical experimentation to ensure the collection of high-quality EDS data.
