Detailed Description
A Sulzer-Metco vacuum plasma spray facility with two robot stings, one controlling the plasma torch and the second the substrate manipulator. Parts can be load-locked into the chamber. The system can be used at vacuum or at reduced pressure in a range of controlled atmospheres. Two powder nozzles enable simultaneous deposition of material.
Uses/Applications
Vacuum plasma spray deposition of environmental protection coatings and thermal barrier coating bondcoats.
150 kW gun allowing for deposition of a multitude of materials. Two powder sources, Hydrogen and Argon plasma gasses. Operation c.15 to 80 mbar pressure.
