Detailed Description
The SDT 650 is a dual beam simultaneous analyser able to measure the weight change and heat flow changes of the sample at temperatures up to 1500°C.
By measuring the changes in heat flow it is possible to determine the onset of melting & crystallisation, changes, glass transition temperature, and specific heat capacity.
The STA also offers thermo gravimetric analysis to measure the release of gases & compounds, breakdowns in structure, and decomposition.
Uses/Applications
- Melting and Crystallisation of most kinds of materials
- Glass transition temperatures of glass samples, polymers, etc.
- Decomposition and thermal stability studies using thermogravimetric analysis
