Detailed Description
Using the raster scanning optoacoustic mesoscopy technique
RSOM visualizes structural and microvasculature components to potentially detect patterns identifying pathophysiological biomarkers.
Uses/Applications
Skin and mole imaging in vivo (detects melanin blood vessels (deoxy and oxygenated haemoglobin) -Oxygen saturation maps can be generated for small blood vessels. Disease biomarkers in psoriasis. Atopic dermatitis in mouse ear. Scleroderma in mouse skin. Scleroderma nail fold imaging. Hypothermia induced vasodilation. Finger X Z view. Finger constriction.
Multispectral imaging for functional and molecular imaging.
