Detailed Description
60kN servo hydraulic high cycle fatigue rig capable of testing specimens in simulated ‘real’ environments. The rig has nitrogen cooled pull rods allowing mechanical testing down to near 77K. Due to be fitted with submerged liquid nitrogen testing by May 2025
Uses/Applications
Used to assess materials performance in simulated environments. It can also provide data for lifting models.
60kN, load control, complex cycles, up to ~100Hz (depends on stroke length and servo fitted), DCPD crack growth, 77K to RT, submerged liquid nitrogen, slow strain rate testing.
