Detailed Description
Gas permeability through plastic films, with a maximum thickness of 2.5mm. The tester is equipped with two sensors (O2 and CO2) allowing for the characterisation of the barrier properties of thin films by two different gases on the same sample.
Uses/Applications
Test the gas permeability of thin plastic films. This can be used to assess the barrier properties of a polymer system which are especially important in packaging, laminate coating and food packaging applications.
Test Range for O2: 0.01-7500 cm3·m-2·24h-1·bar-1 (unmasked)/0.2-150000 cm3·m-2·24h-1·bar-1 (masked). Test Range for CO2: 0.25-18000 cm3·m-2·24h-1·bar-1 (unmasked), 50-360000 cm3·m-2·24h-1·bar-1 (masked). Sample Size: 50 cm2, ~2.5 mm thickness max. Temperature range: 10-50 °C ± 0.1 °C.
