Sandrine Heutz
Reader in Functional Molecular Materials

Her research interests are focused on the growth and characterisation of functional molecular thin films and nanostructures for optoelectronic and spintronics applications and is the Director of the MSc in Advanced Materials. She leads the £2M EPSRC multiuser equipment facility, SPIN-Lab (EP/P030548/1), a unique characterisation hub for the study of strongly and weakly coupled spins at variable temperatures, compatible with optical excitation. Her interest in molecule-surface interactions extends to industrial projects, and she is one of the investigators on the £2.5M BP-ICAM project “Carbonaceous Deposits” and became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2018.
